Threading shapes and cleans the eyebrows, and it can also be used to remove hair from other facial and body areas. The eyelid is stretched to make the hair removal easy.  Eyebrow threading involves twisting a piece of thread, usually cotton, into a double strand. Eyebrow threading can be used to eliminate a unibrow, raise the arch of the eyebrow, or add shape and definition to the brow. This technique is more efficient than tweezers as it pulls out a row of hairs out at a time instead of plucking them one by one. Tweezers can often nip the skin causing small marks. If done properly, the skin should not be red or irritated for more than a few minutes after the eyebrow threading session.
